We aspire to be an outstanding, best-in-class, and highly respected co-operative community in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and in the Canadian co-op housing movement in general.


Castlegreen is member-owned and self-governed and is committed to a community atmosphere of participation, volunteerism, co-operation, fairness, integrity, diversity, respect and environmental sustainability. We also believe strongly in open, democratic decision-making. In addition to housing, many co-operative activities and events take place at Castlegreen thanks to the active, shared involvement of the Board of Directors, our Committees, and our members. Castlegreen is a participating member of the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada.
